Nina & Simon // The Manor House Wedding
Absolutely loved this day at The Manor House in Lindley with Nina & Simon. These two were really up for the day being fun and about celebration rather than the formalities and that was to be the same for the approach to their photography. Yes, there were few portraits and a few shots with loved…
Sabine & Lewis // Falcon Manor Wedding
Falcon Manor is a favourite of mine for the fact that me and my wife took our first steps together in and around Settle. What a glorious place to get wed and Sabine and Lewis embraced the day beautifully. So chilled and relaxed there were laughs, tears and the odd funny face from Lewis. Suited…
Ellie & Dan // Sandburn Hall Wedding
On the outskirts of York I found Sandburn Hall in 1000 acres of woodland and then found the lovely bride Ellie with 1000 things going on around her while Dan, the groom, was squaring up to his phone with vids on how to do his pocket square. The History of Birdsall House
Birdsall House, a distinguished wedding venue located in North Yorkshire, Yorkshire, is steeped in history. Originally constructed in the 16th century, it has been the ancestral home of the Willoughby family for generations. The house exemplifies Georgian elegance with its later additions, which harmoniously blend into its Tudor origins, reflecting the architectural evolution over the centuries. It is set amidst the rolling landscapes of the Yorkshire Wolds, providing a breathtaking backdrop for events and offering a glimpse into the lush English countryside.
Birdsall House is not only renowned for its striking architecture but also for its historical significance. During the English Civil War, it played a minor yet vicarious role, serving as a meeting place for key figures of the time. The Willoughby family, historically significant in their own right, continue to reside in the house, preserving its legacy while opening its doors for public events. Situated just a few miles from Malton and within easy reach of York and Scarborough, its location makes it an accessible retreat for visitors seeking both tranquillity and historical intrigue. Today, Birdsall House is celebrated as an idyllic venue for weddings, blending its rich heritage with modern-day hospitality.
