A gorgeous place in the world
Nina & Simon // The Manor House Wedding
Absolutely loved this day at The Manor House in Lindley with Nina & Simon. These two were really up for the day being fun and about celebration rather than the formalities and that was to be the same for the approach to their photography. Yes, there were few portraits and a few shots with loved…
Sabine & Lewis // Falcon Manor Wedding
Falcon Manor is a favourite of mine for the fact that me and my wife took our first steps together in and around Settle. What a glorious place to get wed and Sabine and Lewis embraced the day beautifully. So chilled and relaxed there were laughs, tears and the odd funny face from Lewis. Suited…
Ellie & Dan // Sandburn Hall Wedding
On the outskirts of York I found Sandburn Hall in 1000 acres of woodland and then found the lovely bride Ellie with 1000 things going on around her while Dan, the groom, was squaring up to his phone with vids on how to do his pocket square. All wonderfully chaotic and perfect for documentary wedding…

The History of Wentworth Woodhouse
Wentworth Woodhouse, a regal example of Palladian and Baroque architecture, is nestled in South Yorkshire and stands as one of the grandest private residences in Europe. Originally constructed for the First Marquess of Rockingham in the mid-18th century, between 1725 and 1750, the mansion was designed by architects including Henry Flitcroft and John Carr. Its impressive facade, extending over 600 feet, enshrines a rich history intertwined with significant historic events and illustrious figures such as King George V and Queen Mary, who visited in 1912. The estate played a crucial role during World War II when parts of it were requisitioned by the military.
Wentworth Woodhouse’s sprawling grounds and meticulously maintained gardens encapsulate the grandeur of a bygone era, providing a scenic backdrop that is enriched by its proximity to local towns such as Rotherham, just a few miles southwest. Post-war, it experienced a decline due to mining activity which threatened its structure but has since been rejuvenated through careful restoration efforts. It now serves as a stunning wedding venue, marrying historical elegance with modern-day adaptability. The estate, significant to Yorkshire’s cultural tapestry, continues to captivate visitors with its storied past and architectural splendour.
