A gorgeous place in the world
Nina & Simon // The Manor House Wedding
Absolutely loved this day at The Manor House in Lindley with Nina & Simon. These two were really up for the day being fun and about celebration rather than the formalities and that was to be the same for the approach to their photography. Yes, there were few portraits and a few shots with loved…
Sabine & Lewis // Falcon Manor Wedding
Falcon Manor is a favourite of mine for the fact that me and my wife took our first steps together in and around Settle. What a glorious place to get wed and Sabine and Lewis embraced the day beautifully. So chilled and relaxed there were laughs, tears and the odd funny face from Lewis. Suited…
Ellie & Dan // Sandburn Hall Wedding
On the outskirts of York I found Sandburn Hall in 1000 acres of woodland and then found the lovely bride Ellie with 1000 things going on around her while Dan, the groom, was squaring up to his phone with vids on how to do his pocket square. All wonderfully chaotic and perfect for documentary wedding…

The History of Middleton Lodge
Middleton Lodge, located near the charming town of Richmond in North Yorkshire, is a Georgian country estate steeped in history and elegance. This enchanting venue was built in 1780, designed by the renowned architect John Carr of York, for the Ebblewhite family. Its stunning architecture exemplifies the Palladian style, characterised by its grand proportions and classic symmetry. Over the centuries, Middleton Lodge has witnessed numerous transitions, both in ownership and purpose, reflecting the evolving history of the region.
The estate remained within the Ebblewhite family for over two centuries, during which it played host to an array of notable figures and events. After changing hands multiple times in the 20th century, the estate was diligently restored to its former glory by the Allison family, who recognised its potential as a luxury wedding venue. Today, Middleton Lodge retains its historical charm while offering modern amenities, providing a picturesque backdrop for weddings and events.
Situated in the idyllic rural setting of North Yorkshire, Middleton Lodge is conveniently located near the vibrant market town of Richmond, just a short drive from Darlington and the historic city of York. The venue’s lush gardens, sprawling parkland, and exquisite interiors continue to attract couples seeking a quintessentially British wedding experience amidst a timeless landscape.
