I’m Andy Wade, an award winning photographer, and Browsholme Hall is something special: the oldest surviving family home in Lancashire, with a gorgeous Tithe Barn for your wedding in the grounds. I’ve photographed two weddings here and it’s one of my favourite venues, full stop.

The Tithe Barn
Browsholme Hall is something special: the oldest surviving family home in Lancashire, with a gorgeous Tithe Barn for your wedding in the grounds. I've photographed 2 weddings here and it's one of my favourite Ribble Valley venues.
The Tithe Barn is a stunning space, all stone and timber, taking most ceremonies, receptions and evening parties for up to 120 guests. The hall itself gives the whole day a sense of history you can't manufacture, and it's all exclusively yours: house, barn and gardens for your wedding alone.
Stone, timber and 120 guests
The gardens and parkland are lovely for portraits: formal areas near the hall, a lake, and views across the Ribble Valley towards the Bowland fells. Between the barn, the gardens and the hall itself, we have options in every light and every weather.
The day flows beautifully from ceremony in the barn, to drinks on the lawns with the hall behind you, to a warm evening of food and dancing. The family and their team are deeply involved, and it shows in how smoothly everything runs.

The History of Browsholme Hall and the Tithe Barn
Lancashire's oldest family home
Browsholme Hall was built in 1507 and is the oldest surviving family home in Lancashire, still lived in by the Parker family, who have been here since the house was built. Five centuries of one family in one house: there are very few places in England that can say that.
The Tudor hall grew over the centuries, and by 1591 an inventory listed 24 rooms. The house and gardens also open to visitors, and the family's collection of art and antiques, gathered over 500 years, is one of the finest in the North West.
The Parkers, 500 years on
The Tithe Barn, a beautifully restored stone barn in the grounds, now hosts ceremonies and receptions, pairing the history of the hall with a space purpose-made for celebrations. It's become one of the Ribble Valley's flagship wedding venues, and one I always look forward to shooting.

Harriet & Fred // Bashall Barn Wedding
It may have been one of the windiest days of the year, but it was also one of the best so far! Wind and rain never matter as much as the people, and this day had all the emotion and energy to match. I think we spent about twenty minutes across the whole day taking…
Sarah & Ash // Clifton Arms Wedding
“Just one shot I’m after”, said Sarah. “The windmill!”. We got that shot and the wind – and there was plenty – did its job with the veil. We had a little window on a beautifully blustery day to walk to the windmill, along the promenade and the out to sea along the jetty. As…
