Bashall Barn
Wedding Photographer
Are you looking for Wedding Photographer at Bashall Barn?
I’m Andy Wade, an award winning photographer, and Bashall Barn is one of my favourite Ribble Valley barn venues: I’ve photographed two weddings here, and it sits in open countryside just outside Clitheroe with views across to the Bowland fells. A cracking venue in a cracking spot.
My approach is all about storytelling in a relaxed documentary style, focusing on the real emotions, and creative yet natural portraits. The weddings you see across Andy Wade Photography are all real days I’ve documented, so what you see here is exactly how I’d photograph yours.
Barn character, Bowland views and Clitheroe on the doorstep. Let’s create something beautiful together at Bashall Barn.

SOMETHING FOR EVERYONE
Bashall Barn Wedding Venue
Inside Bashall Barn
Bashall Barn is one of my favourite Ribble Valley barn venues, and I've photographed 2 weddings here. It sits in open countryside just outside Clitheroe with views across to the Bowland fells, and on a clear day the setting is hard to beat.
The barn itself has been converted with a light touch: original timber and stone, warm lighting, and a layout that takes the whole day from ceremony through to the evening party without anyone feeling moved around. There's a lovely balance of rustic character and modern comfort, and the team tailor the space to each couple rather than running a conveyor belt.
Pendle Hill on the horizon
Outside, the views do the talking. The barn looks across the Ribble Valley towards Pendle Hill and the Forest of Bowland, which gives your drinks reception a backdrop most venues would kill for, and gives us endless options for portraits as the light changes over the fells.
Everything happens in one place here, which keeps the day relaxed: ceremony in the barn, drinks with those views, a wander for portraits, then back in for food and dancing. It's the Ribble Valley at its best, and your photos will show it.

The History of Bashall Barn
Ribble Valley heritage
Bashall Barn is a working piece of Ribble Valley heritage: a converted traditional barn at Bashall Town, a tiny farming hamlet a few miles outside Clitheroe. The barn's thick stone walls and heavy timbers have stood through centuries of Lancashire farming life, and the conversion kept all of that character intact.
This corner of Lancashire is proper Bowland country, with the Forest of Bowland National Landscape wrapping around it, an area farmed since medieval times and once hunted by kings. The barn sits within sight of that whole story.
Proper Bowland farming country
Now the barn has a second life as one of the Ribble Valley's most characterful wedding venues, hosting ceremonies and celebrations against the same views its builders saw centuries ago. It's family-run, personal, and a genuine slice of Lancashire, which is why couples fall for it.
How To Get To Bashall Barn
Bashall Barn is at Bashall Town, a few miles west of Clitheroe in the Ribble Valley, postcode BB7 3LQ. From Clitheroe, follow the B6246 towards Whalley and the local signs for Bashall Town. From the M6, leave at junction 31 and follow the A59 to Clitheroe, then pick up the B6246.
Clitheroe station, with services from Manchester via Blackburn, is about 10 minutes away by taxi, and there's ample parking at the barn.

Harriet & Fred // Bashall Barn Wedding
It may have been one of the windiest days of the year, but it was also one of the best so far! Wind and rain never matter as much as the people, and this day had all the emotion and energy to match. I think we spent about twenty minutes across the whole day taking…
Sarah & Ash // Clifton Arms Wedding
“Just one shot I’m after”, said Sarah. “The windmill!”. We got that shot and the wind – and there was plenty – did its job with the veil. We had a little window on a beautifully blustery day to walk to the windmill, along the promenade and the out to sea along the jetty. As…
