Lucy & Jake // The Mill at Condor Green

Bride embraces groom on wedding day.

What a wonderfully windy day at The Mill at Conder Green. Situated on the Lancaster Canal towpath with a packhorse bridge spanning the waterway, this old mill was the wedding day home to Lucy and Jake. They wanted a relaxed approach for their photography and with a stiff breeze playing its part I was certainly set to expect the unexpected.

The bridal preparations were at home with mum Margaret, Beks, Fran and the girls. While the makeup and hair was being beautifully yet fervently fashioned the flower girl sat cool as little conchicon on the sofa; shades included and tablet in hands for one of those spontaneous shots and soon to be an award winner!

Then it was over to Lancaster for the same with our groom and groomsmen. After the labels were cut off and the cufflinks were on it was time for Lucy and Jake to come together at the wedding ceremony and be married at The Mill. A few tears were shed and that was to continue throughout the day.

A few family and group photos outside and a wander on the towpath for some relaxed portraits saw the veil fly around a little but that was all part of the energy of a wonderfully windswept day. Even if the wind died down later that energy continued to the first dance and everyone partied into the Lancashire night!
