Alice & Connor // Leeds City Centre
Alice and Connor have been together for 11 years and lived part of that in Leeds. So it was decided that we’d walk a route that took in lots of the old spots that were prominent in their life. We started at the Stone Roses night club where they met. I used the general public walking past to express the idea of others surrounding them in the club that night – a fleeting yet hugely important moment. They loved this idea and from there we all at ease and explored photography together for the day.
All my pre-wedding shoots, like the photography on the day, are very relaxed. I do talk about ideas around ‘posing’ but only with the objective to dispel any apprehensions around the camera. It’s more a time to get to know each other which my couples find reassuring and, ultimately, they become very comfortable with photography on the big day.
