Telling
your story

The most important thing about your day and the camera is that you feel comfortable and relaxed throughout. That means exploring photography as much, or as little, as you like. I will tell your story with images that create meaningful memories, not just memories of your photo being taken. You’ll barely know I’m there! Check out my beautifully told wedding stories to see what your day could look like.

STAGE 1

The choice of venue

Everything starts when you’ve chosen your venue and officially booked in your big day, whether it’s close to home or somewhere further afield. I’ve shot at many of these stunning venues here in the UK, but I also love a destination wedding for a grand adventure!

STAGE 2

The Pre-wedding Shoot

Take some time in a place that’s special to both of you to capture some beautiful memories. It’s a brilliant way to celebrate your engagement, get used to the camera, and for me to get to get to know you better!

A couple sits closely together on a grassy hill, silhouetted against a vibrant sunset with a golden sky and distant mountains. They appear to be gazing at each other, creating a serene and romantic atmosphere—a perfect moment for their storytelling to unfold. Image by Andy Wade Photography.
A woman in a white robe sits in a plush armchair, wiping a tear from her eye with one hand while holding a card with the other. She appears to be emotionally moved by the contents of the card, which has elegant text and designs. Light filters through curtains behind her. Image by Andy Wade Photography.

STAGE 3

The Morning Prep

One of the most special and compelling times of your day is getting ready in the morning. In this time, excitement and anticipation begin to build for when you’ll walk down the aisle together. It’s always filled with special moments that I capture without choreography. Not long to go!

STAGE 4

The Ceremony

The moment everyone is waiting for! There’s nothing more authentic than capturing the moment you first see one another at the end of the aisle, so full of emotion. You exchange vows and seal the marriage with a kiss, before walking back up the aisle together as husband and wife.

A black and white photo of a wedding ceremony captures a poignant moment. The bride, holding a bouquet, stands facing the groom with a smile, as if living out their own chapter of "Your Story." The groom is seen from the back. Guests in semi-formal attire are seated in the background, observing the moment. Image by Andy Wade Photography.

STAGE 5

The Portraits

Time to take a moment away together for some natural, authentic portraits, just the two of you. No need to pose, we’ll simply go for a stroll together somewhere quiet where you can take in the day, without being away from friends and family for too long. We can have a bit of fun with some group shots too if you like!

STAGE 6

The Wedding Breakfast

Your first feast together as a married couple, and celebrating the moment with your friends and family. I’ll be speaking with your guests, capturing some truly authentic (and usually hilarious) messages with my Guest Wishes. Something for you to look forward to after the wedding!

STAGE 7

The Speeches

Ah, the speeches! Time for words of love, sentiment, funny stories and sometimes, the occasional embarrassing moment. There’s always a variety of emotions to capture as your wedding party and guests say their piece. Usually some tears too!

STAGE 8

The First Dance

Even if you’ve got two left feet, the first dance is something not to be missed. You’ll take centre stage in front of your guests and celebrate your union. You can make it so uniquely yours, whether you want a slow dance, something more fast paced, or even have a routine prepared, your guests can’t wait to join you on the dancefloor!

The setting, resembling a personal narrative with exposed brick walls and large windows, creates a vibrant and joyful atmosphere. Image by Andy Wade Photography.

STAGE 9

The Party

It’s time to party! The DJ plays, the lights go down, and inhibitions drop. Drinks flow, and people partner up for a boogie on the dance floor. Time to throw out some shapes with me in the middle somewhere! Capturing this energy makes for brilliant photos that you’ll absolutely love as part of your wedding gallery!

STAGE 10

The Creative Element

There are opportunities to capture unique and compelling portraits throughout your day. We can explore creative photography if that’s something you’d like. An idea conceived before can take just 5 minutes on the day to create something you’ll remember for a lifetime.

A bush with vibrant, orange-red leaves in the foreground adds a warm contrast, creating an enchanting storytelling moment for Your Story. Image by Andy Wade Photography.
