Set in the heart of the Lake District, this Grade I listed country house is steeped in history and surrounded by 18 acres of beautifully kept grounds. With 18 elegant bedrooms, three grand dining rooms, and a stunning medieval hall, there’s a sense of timeless sophistication around every corner.

What I especially love is the Bank Barn—a Grade II listed building full of rustic charm and character. It’s the perfect contrast to the main house, offering a warm and atmospheric space for ceremonies and receptions. The combination of historic architecture, gorgeous gardens, and top-notch service makes Askham Hall a standout venue.

From a photographer’s perspective, the light, textures, and backdrops here are absolutely unbeatable—it’s the kind of place where unforgettable moments are just waiting to happen.

Fairbank Wedding Barn

Fairbank Wedding Barn, renovated in 2020, sits on 370 acres of rolling countryside. It offers uninterrupted views in every direction, creating a romantic atmosphere.

This barn wedding venue in the countryside is perfect for a memorable celebration. The restored barn and idyllic surroundings make it truly enchanting.
