Lisa & Dale
A Wedding at The Lowry
When you’re asked to be a couples’ wedding photographer it’s a buzz. When it’s at The Lowry you buzz even more thinking of the possibilities. My photography is based on natural story telling – so letting the day happen without overly staged photography – but, like Lisa and Dale, most couples like a few portraits together and so the creative camera planning began.
A Church Wedding in Manchester
After popping the proseco, hair and make up done, bridesmaids dressed and a delivery from McDonalds it was off in the wedding VW Camper to St Mark’s Church in Worseley. This beautifully big church witnessed Lisa and Dale wed and after the confetti and loads of huge hugs it was off to the bridge over the canal near The Worsley Court House. Lisa and Dale just wanted a few relaxed portraits and some time out after the exchange of wedding rings. Then it was back in the wedding camper van and off to the wedding reception at The Lowry Theatre.
Wedding Photography at The Lowry
The Lowry, Manchester is a unique venue for a wedding. An award winning dockside venue you have an urban space with views of the iconic Manchester ship canal. There’s a glass walled circular room for the wedding reception, the amazing contemporary interior design and the iconic architecture of the buildings outside and bridge. An amazing space for a creative wedding photographer. I believe couples should enjoy being with the guest for most of the day. Lisa and Dale still wanted a couple of portraits to make the most of this amazing venue – especially the bridge that spans over to The Imperial War Museum – so it was all worked out before and we only spent a total of about 30 minutes on the portraits. With amazing colour, crazy lines, colourful lights and some creative composition the camera has given Lisa & Dale some unique wedding photos.
A Reception in The Compass Room
Back to capturing the speeches, wedding guests partying on, cake cutting and first dance in The compass Room of The Lowry. It’s a great space for a wedding ceremony and with the lights of the love letters on them Lisa and Dale’s story continued there into the early hours.
If you like my wedding photography at The Lowry then I’d love to hear from you.
