Danielle & Pete
A Family Wedding at Falcon Manor
Falcon Manor is an elegant country house on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales – a place I love. It’s not just the contemporary chic interior, the beautifully intimate grounds as a backdrop for stunning wedding photos but there are opportunities to capture some beautiful portraits in the surrounding area… and that is what Danielle and Pete had.
Natural Wedding Photography at Falcon Manor
Most of the wedding day I shoot unobtrusively and capture the story as it unfolds. As Danielle, Pete and the boys got on with their preparations I’d flit from room to room; from scene to scene. The maid of honour added a commemorative brooch for Danielle’s bouquet. It had a photo of grandad – a very touching detail and one which added a few more tears on the day.
Tears at the Wedding Ceremony
The Garden Room at Falcon Manor is perfect for a wedding ceremony. Perfectly intimate and with a set of fluffy lampshades, light cascades through the window and is reflected and refracted through ornate mirrors – an opportunity for some creative yet natural wedding photography. The moment the doors opened and Pete saw Danielle walk down the aisle it was tissues and tears aplenty. It seemed Grandad was looking down on them, too.
Wedding Portraits in The Dales
Amongst the tears there was definitely the laughter, too. I love blending into the wedding party and after a few family photos it was time to take a little time out to get those portraits. In just 30 mins we’d headed out of Settle to the stunning views across the Yorkshire Dales. Danielle and Pete took time out and walked across the tops to have a moment to themselves and the perfect portraits were done. Then it was back to the party, to a few more tears and the telling of a wonderful story.
