Sarah & Claude
A Tipi Wedding in Tottington
I met Sarah and Jessica at a wedding fair and after hitting it off I had both of their wedding days to shoot and both were quite different. Sarah’s day would start at the home farm in Tottington, then to the local church and then to a field nearby with a giant four top tipi! The style was to be as natural as possible and just capturing magic moments as they happened. Maybe a few pre planned shots and a couple of portraits but just let the champers and the jaeger shots do the rest amongst the hale bales and rolling.
Festival Style Wedding Photography
The bridal preparations were full of nervous excitement and choreographed chaos all beautifully charmed along by Angus tuning his bagpipes. Once we had a couple of photos of the beautiful bride Sarah and the bridesmaids it was off to church just two minutes away. And, yes, the bagpipes were in full flow after the ceremony and signing of the marriage register in the most wonderfully minuscule room. Lead out with the pipes Sarah and Claude were covered with confetti and then it was off to the tipis.
An Evening Party in the Tipi
Tipis just bring that summer festival feel. Everyone spills out onto the hay bails supported by super charged drinks from the Gin Bar. Loving the vibe and gliding through the crowds I really felt like the social butterfly just picking off these moments that told the a real story of love, family and friendships. Up on some ladders I gathered everyone in for a big group shot. Everyone seemed to be in the middle of nowhere yet it was the perfect place to be in that moment. The tunes belted out before the wedding breakfast which saw the pies and more drink flow. Much toasting and tall tales brought tears of laughter and joy. What an amazing day to witness and work. I truly felt in the moment in this Tipi.
