and their wedding photography at Rivington Hall Barn
It’s one of my favourite venues and perfect for all aspects of a wedding day. Beautiful rooms for bridal preparations, the grandest space for a wedding ceremony, breakfast and party plus it is situated in the most natural, green surroundings just below Rivington Pike.
Rivington Hall Barn now has its own room in the main house for bridal preparations. Amy and her bridesmaids had plenty of space to get ready and for me to simply zip about capturing proceedings as it happened. All the emotion came out when Amy was revealed in her dress, the tears filling all five tissues at once. It was the same for Adam when he received his Rolex in front of his groomsmen.
It’s really important for me to capturing real, authentic moments. I love to find myself a spot to let the story play out and that is easy at Rivington Hall Barn as it’s so big inside. Amy and Adam had the grandest of ceremonies and the most emotional set of speeches – even with plenty of dancing before the party – perfect for me as a documentary style photographer. I managed a few tears myself!
With such an emotional roller coaster ride inside the barn it was time for a light sunset stroll with Amy and Adam. My style works best as a wander with my bride and groom. That way I get the most natural portraits and take most advantage of the light that flits around them. I knew we’d captured some beautifully romantic yet authentic moments together and returned to the roller coaster party back in the barn.
