Becky & Brandon
Emotions at Bridal Prep
Before the wedding ceremony at Bartle Hall Hotel it was bridal preparation time at the grandparents of the bride. As well as the laughter and excitement there were a few tears too as not all of the family would be present at Becky’s wedding. Capturing authentic moments and genuine emotion as a documentary style photographer tells a story, and that’s how Becky wanted hers told.
Wedding Ceremony at Bartle Hall Hotel
Bartle Hall Country House & Coaching Barn is a unique wedding venue, set in 16 acres of wild and wonderful woodland. And so down the aisle came the page boy with his ‘it’s not too late” message for the groom Brandon. It was his turn to turn on the tears as Becky and he were wed; three roses laying on the chairs to represent those that could not be there . It was a part of their beautiful story that I wanted to tell with the camera.
Documentary Style Photos & Portraits
As much as there was a tear or two of sadness there were many more of fun, laughter and happiness. Out of the double doors it was out onto the private patio with its festoon lights where the guests mingled. I love my couples to enjoy natural wedding portraiture. So Becky and Brandon had a simple wander for 20 mins in the beautiful grounds – hardly noticing me dancing in and out of the trees capturing some beautifully backlit moments of them together. It felt natural, relaxed and there was even time for them to have a quick nap in the big deck chair. I love spontaneous moments like that.
Partying with Guest and Family
Of course there was time for some photos with friends and family. After the confetti and a few shots of the beautiful bridesmaids and mother and father of the bride and groom it was back to capturing the moments of everyone simply enjoying the perfect day. Touching speeches and a romantic first dance watched by their loved ones in front of the barn lights led the evening celebrations deep into the night.
