Charlotte & David
Wedding Photography at Rivington Hall Barn
It was a really simple brief from Charlotte and David, my bride and groom; “We want a documentary style of photography for our wedding – all day”. Just a few photos of them together and family and the rest was to be in a reportage style.
From Bridal Prep to Rivington Hall Barn
The day had arrived and started at Charlotte’s home. The bridesmaids were already in good voice as the hair and make up team did their thing in a room adorned with family photos. Once the dress was on and the final lippy applied, it was downstairs to see Dad, Chris. The emotion and the nerves beginning to show… and then the bridal party pressed on to St Paul’s Church just a short walk away.
Emotional Ceremony at St Paul’s Church
After a beautiful ceremony in church it was outside for the bride and groom to see all their wedding guests. I love leaving my couple to do this as it’s a very special time. There were some beautifully emotional exchanges between family and friends with tears, laughter and much love evident, especially with Grandad. I was pretty much moved to tears myself!
Wedding Party at Rivington Hall Barn
Rivington Hall Barn is an amazing venue. It’s perfect for a BIG party! And that’s what Charlotte and David wanted. We spent a few moments with the groomsmen and bridesmaids and after a quick walk around the grounds for some natural, relaxed portraits it was back to the barn and time to party on. I love showing the energy of the party with a few choice camera techniques but as long as my couples have a bit of partying in them it all flows quite easily.
